In the Yard Model form you create or edit a yard model. This task includes adding bin name tables (on page 1) and adding bin names to bin name tables.
In the Yard Model form you can add, edit, delete or force delete entities in these tabs:
In addition, the Yard Model form provides view-only information for the yard model's child entities:
Stack Blocks tab (on page 1)
Non Stack Blocks tab (on page 1)
Berths tab (on page 1)
Path Graphs tab (on page 1)
Ref points tab (on page 1)
Experienced administrators may use this information to verify the data generated by Yard Editor. The information mainly serves debugging purposes, for example when you want to make sure that you are not missing any entities. This information is also available for the active yard model.
Prerequisites:
You must have the Yard Models - View privilege to access the Yard Models view. Contact your N4 administrator if you cannot access the Yard Models view.
Confirm with your N4 administrator that you have the Yard Models - Edit privilege, which is required to have before you can create or edit a yard model.
You must have created a yard in the Topology view. If you do not have a yard in your Topology view, in N4 open the Administration DBA Topology Topology view and follow the prompts.
To create or edit a yard model:
You should have no more than 5 yard models. Any more can create performance issues.
From Yard Editor, Clicking

In the Name field, enter the name for the yard model, which is the bin name (up to 10 characters).
This name does not need to be unique, but it must match the owning yard.
In the Description field, enter a description for the yard model.
From the Owning Yard look-up field, select the yard.
N4 derives the value(s) available in this list from the yard(s) defined in the Administration DBA Topology Topology view.
When applying the yard model to the active yard, N4 verifies that the name of the yard model matches the owning yard. This match verification is essential for XPS to be able to connect to the correct cache. Therefore, while it is possible for a user logged into yard A to load a yard file that actually belongs to yard B, N4 prevents a user from making yard model B active because neither XPS nor ECN4 would be able to start successfully in such a case.
Click Save.
N4 saves the information and makes the lower part of the form available.
On the Bin Name Tables tab, add bin name tables (on page 1).
Close the form.
